We have a responsibility to each other to help each other to grow - TopicsExpress

We have a responsibility to each other to help each other to grow spiritually to come together to study and to know the word of God and not only to help each other but to help those that are not in Christ. Hebrews 10:23 “let us hold fast the confession of our hope that it waver not; for he is faithful that promised: 10:24 and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and good works.” If we do not do this by forsaking the coming together as we see the day drawing near then we will have sinned willfully in there remains no more sacrifice for our sins. We cannot see the judgment day when it will be, will there are no signs. If we were living before A.D. 67 in Jerusalem and Judea and other parts of the Roman Empire then we could see the day drawing near of the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple. However there is something even more important than that, we can see the first day of the week approaching, we can see the day of the resurrection approach. The question is, are we so foolish to ignore the day? Do we really want to go to hell because we ignore the coming together as commanded? Do we think it is so important to sit in a fast food restaurant with our lost friends talking without any true meaning? Do we not know the very ability to speak is a gift of God? Is our eyes, ears, mouth and stomach more important than helping others and learning more about the truth? We can even in spirit forsake the assembly even by coming if our hearts are far from that which is spiritual. Every word that we think, every word that we say is not a physical thing it is a spiritual thing and it will be changed against us if it’s not according to the word of God. Are we so great that we can ignore this? The Emperor Jesus Christ has given his judgment, let us read it: Hebrews 10:25, “not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near 10:26 For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remained no more a sacrifice for sins, 10:27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which shall devour the adversaries.” A true disciple earns the name Christian. To be a disciple we must be exposed to the light of the word of God. Our minds will become clear to what is eternity and the world is about. We will have awakened from our sleep as a dead person. Ephesians 5:13 But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. 14 For this reason it says, Awake, sleeper, And arise from the dead, And Christ will shine on you. Through the resurrection by the blood of Jesus Christ we have the great honor of being able to enter into the Holy place, God’s eternal temple. Therefore Hebrews 10:19, “having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus”. This was made possible through the gospel which is a new and living way through the flesh of Jesus Christ, the resurrected immortal flesh, by being buried with him and being raised with him from the water, a burial into the body of Christ, Hebrews 10:20, “by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 21 and having a great priest over the house of God.” We can draw near because Jesus Christ is our altar and His blood is continually sprinkled on the altar, therefore Hebrews 10:22, “let us draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience: and having our body washed with pure water.” “For this reason it says, Awake, sleeper, And arise from the dead, And Christ will shine on you.
