We have a serious homelessness problem looming with drastic cuts to inner city funding. I’ve been told that 20 specialist women’s services across Sydney and Foster House to close, along with cuts to the Matthew Talbot Hostel and Mission Australia Surry Hills. The Government must establish prevention services in other areas before shutting down inner city crisis services – or we face large numbers of people sleeping rough and begging in city streets and parks.
