We have a somewhat differing weather forecast today across our coverage area as another weather system moves our way, bringing with it a slight chance of severe weather for northern portions of our coverage area. The entire coverage area stands the chance of seeing showers with some thunder embedded. The further north you go, the better the chances. Those chances go up enough that the forecast from the Storm Prediction Center and the NWS Office in Huntsville have put the counties in our coverage area bordering Tennessee (and also our three counties covered in Tennessee) in the slight risk area for severe storms. The chances of any severe weather in our area is marginal today, but still as usual, worth paying attention too. If there is any, we should see them in the afternoon and evening hours, with the main threats being damaging winds, heavy rains, and even large hail. Chevk back here periodically today and tonight as well post any updates including any watches, advisories, or warnings, when we receive them.
