We have a special customer in our thoughts and send our deepest sympathy to the family from all of us here at SubZero. Not long ago we had a customer come in whose mother was diagnosed with dysphagia. A disease that prevents swallowing of regular foods. The daughter wanted to know if we could make an ice cream her mother could eat with this condition. Ice cream was a food her mother enjoyed and she knew if we could do it her mother would be ecstatic to break up her now bland diet. We did, we worked with the family and used an additive called Thicken and made up a few special batches of ice cream. While we were thrilled to hear the ice cream was a success, we were saddened to hear of the families recent loss of their mother. We are passionate about every person, regardless of their allergies or dietary need, being able to get a frozen treat so we find comfort that we were able to contribute to her enjoyment of a food she loved. Our very best to the family during this difficult time.
