We have a wonderful youth group. Youth Director Jim Beaux Whitaker and Associate Pastor John Walton are doing a great Job with our Youth. They are helping our Youth learn how to apply the word of God to there lives. Last Sunday every person in youth group was required to bring a scripture that spoke to them and then explain how it applies to there life. Here are 7 out of the 15 Scriptures presented at Youth group by the youth: 1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. Hebrew 13:5-6 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6.So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Psalms 34:18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Isaiah 40:30-31 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31.But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Matthew 6:25-34 Hebrew 12:3-13 It is good to know that our youth are being encouraged to study the word of God. Keep up the good work youth leaders.
