We have all heard when the cat is out, the mice come out to - TopicsExpress

We have all heard when the cat is out, the mice come out to play...well Jorge is out of town for the weekend and I have 4 large breed dogs and 2 cats in my house (ok so one dog and one cat are mine but much more than I normally have)! Needless to say, even though there is much more work involved, so far enjoying watching them all do so great together. Here is what I have been able to confirm over the last 24-48 hours: 1. I have no hoarding tendencies at all. This is too many animals for my schedule and my little house but fun for the weekend. 2. Jack (cat) was returned for being to rambunctious. He is an 8 month old single bottle-raised kitten - of course he is! On the other hand, he is great with the kids, ignores my cat even when Dusty says bad kitty words to him and loves the dogs. :) 3. Benny loves everyone (I knew that) but does amazingly well in a pack of dogs and with random strange cats as well. :) He is such an amazing, fun dog! 4. Luke and Leo are overall very well behaved and full of personality. They have been kid tested, cat tested and multiple dog tested. :) They also have much more patience than even my Rocky does with sometimes obnoxiously playful Benny. :) Luke can actually match Bennys energy and loves to be chased. Leo is shyer but keeps up pretty well. 5. Rocky acts all mature and tries to hold off for a bit but will eventually start playing with everyone like a puppy again. As long as everyone knows he is referee and boss and to give him a break when he says so, he is happy. :) 6. Letting 4 dogs, totaling over 200lbs, run through my tiny house like a speedway is amazing yet exhausting just to watch...not to mention is dangerous to get run into (the kids and I have been up on the couch avoiding it). Lol
