We have amended the blurb about the group this morning and will establish a page soon - to be called friends of Tony Benn. The wonderful material collected here by so many people over the last 2 weeks will remain as a tribute and as a resource and I hope people will continue to add relevant material- whether video, photo , press material or personal recollections of Tony. I will continue to ask for a tight focus for content. I know there is so much more undigitalised material we might still manage to add. New people joined yesterday and more today...welcome. We hope the new page will allow people to keep in touch with each other, allow people to post when they are going to an event and to help people to arrange to meet up and keep in contact with each other. We know there will be a memorial service later in the year and special tributes for both Tony and Bob Crow on Mayday. It was great to meet some of you in person yesterday. Apologies to anyone we missed in Trafalgar Square - we had 3 attempts to unfurl the banner to let people know we were there in the teeth of heavy policing to stop any political banners being displayed. It was a very special day for all of us I guess and it was lovely to know we were all sharing in it together from wherever we were. It has been an immense comfort to know there are so many of us who loved and appreciated Tony... Im so pleased that this facebook group has brought us together. I
