We have been an extremely lucky people. We have not had foreign - TopicsExpress

We have been an extremely lucky people. We have not had foreign troops on our soil, and we have not had our cities bombed or devestated by war since the Civil War. We forget that it can happen to us. In 1964 my dad received the John Hayes Fellowship, and spent time in Colorado Springs. This is the Air Force base that provides cover for NORAD, and my dad toured Norad. He was sitting in the vice presidents chair when an alert started. The Mountain was closed and we came within 20 minutes of failsafe! While that was a dangerous world at the time, we now live in one that is even more dangerous. It would have taken 600 nukes to destroy most of the United States, 400 to take out the Soviet Union, according to the experts of the times. Since then we have become dependent on silicon chips to run our lives. One Electronic Magnetic Pulse, from either a solar flare (and they do happen), or one Nuke exploded 300 miles above Kansas would destroy our electronics. Our aircraft will fall out of the sky, Our cell phones, cars, trucks, computers, LED flashlights, power grid all stop working and never come back. Yet we keep doubling down on stupid and keep becoming more reliant on the silicone chip. The experts who run our country believe 90 percent of our population will die within the first year. In 1964 our grid would have gone down, but our cars, trucks, would have kept working. Our vacuum tube televisions and radios would have continued to work once someone had gotten power to them. Today, we are extremely venerable. Please take a few steps to research the problem and take some steps to protect you and yours. Once it happens it will be too late.
