We have been asked to take more dogs who are on a large euthanasia - TopicsExpress

We have been asked to take more dogs who are on a large euthanasia list and are running out of time. We have a week to decide what we can do. It is always a stress contemplating new dogs. In the winter we want to have less dogs so we can all rest a bit. Resources are slim and always the dogs come in with medical needs. Can be as simple as worms to complications like tumors, pneumonia, broken legs, upper respiratory infections, dental, skin disease, ear infections etc. We do have some fosters lined up. The dogs on the list range from labs, to Dobermans, Great Pyrenees, poodles, terriers, a Saint mix, Many, many mixes and puppies. Puppies present a lot of mixed tricks. They can come in with Parvo or Distemper. Very emotionally devastating and expensive. It is a coin toss. SO in order to do anything, we must reach out to those who may want to help a dog get out of the shelter and into safety. To start the process rolling, each dog we do commit to helping needs a $100.00 sponsor. That way we know we can pay for the basics and use our other resources for the more complicated needs. If interested in helping, donations can be made though our paypal button at: thedogspotrescue@aol. Help us help them, one set of paws at a time
