We have been demanding action time and again from BBMP- AHD in animal related cases. Its time to turn the heat on them. Last week, a group of five consisting of Vijaya Sitaram, Ravi Narayan, Mr Shyamsundar, Lakshmi and myself stormed an internal BBMP- AHD review meeting in the presence of the Joint Director, Deputy Director, 6 Assistant Directors and 9 Senior Inspectors, demanding that they take cognisance of offences against animals, attend to conflicts, issue authorised feeders licences and conduct awareness and sensitisation programs in each and every ward on a war footing. Accordingly, please bring to the notice of the JD any animal cruelty/ conflict issues in your area and demand that immediate action be taken with the co-operation of yourselves ie, local Animal Volunteers/ Activists.
