We have been fortunate to have had some lovely weather in September, however we have now passed the Autumn equinox - the days are shorter than the nights and the weather is changing. So with this in mind and the children back at school, supporting the immune system is high on the agenda and Id like to give you some considerations over the course of this week for immune health. Take advantage of this harvest time to boost your antioxidant levels with blackberries, raspberries, apples, squash, sweetcorn, savoy cabbage- remember to eat a rainbow of foods so that you get a broad range of nutrients rather than eating the same things each week. Add garlic a potent antiviral into your dishes, either chopped raw in salad dressings, cooked into sauces or roasted whole cloves.
