We have been laying near Max this evening. Mom locked Max in the bathroom to get a urine sample again last night. The vet called this evening. There was no crystals, such was a concern because he has not wanted his prescription food and has been eating other foods. She didnt find glucose, not diabetes, but there was a small amount of blood. He continues to lose weight, only eat small amounts of food, if any,but begs to eat almost continually, he is weak, doesnt play, and is not even interested in the nippy toys. Its not expected to be thyroid because the last test, not too long ago, showed in a lower normal range, so not likely it went very high this quickly. Unfortunately, with several possibilities ruled out, the vet suspects possibly heart disease, or cancer. He will need blood work and other tests. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
