We have been looked at as caged animals for a long time. We have been told that our intelligence is less than par, we cant think for ourselves and we are very aggressive in nature. This generation has two handfuls of bad apples that have proven this. We sit back and let this happen, we glorify the drug dealers, the streets and retaliation of nonsense. Instead of thinking about the future they think of the next pair of Jordans that are coming out. Those shoes will last only for 2-3 months and then they will be considered old news. Why cant they think of their education and the long term effects of being educated and marketable in the workforce. Heres why: Parents are not parents anymore, they want to be their childs friend or their best buddy. They want to smoke weed with them and fight. One reason is that 1 out of 3 homes are broken, no father figure present and no guidance. WE the people of reason need to allocate just a few hours or a day to mentor these kids, but we are all to busy with our daily lives and then we condemn the kids who are wayward in behavior. We have to step up as a community to help US. Nobody else will do it. The government will build more prisons than schools, hire more prison guards than teachers with in the next 10-15 years. It is bad, for example when a city closes down a library and reopens it as a police substation. Basically this is saying they dont need books they need to be locked up lime caged animals they are.
