Therefore, we want to clarify that the beach area in front of Ocean Lakes is Horry County jurisdiction which will now not allow tents on the beach at anytime. South of Ocean Lakes (starting at the Holiday Inn Hotel) is Surfside beach, which as of now does allow tents on the beach. Hope this helps clarify.
