We have been mourning the loss of one of our own. Moofi aka Mufasa - TopicsExpress

We have been mourning the loss of one of our own. Moofi aka Mufasa was surrendered to Cross Our Paws almost 5 years ago at the age of 6.5 years. His family did not have the time for him, however, I dont want this post to be about that but rather how LUCKY we were to spend over 4 fabulous years with this dog. My husband failed fostering him after one day (this never happens...lol) so Moofi stayed with us. Failed fostering is when you cant part with them and end up adopting your foster pet permanently. We were told he was cat aggressive but after 2 short, controlled introductions and some leave its Moofi was GREAT with our 3 cats and shared his pillow with them. Moofi was laid to rest 10 weeks after a routine surgery as he was suffering Grand Mal seizures (clusters) along with other serious symptoms. He was suffering so we had to let him go. Please remember the older animals that loose their home for whatever reason. While we only had the honor & pleasure of Moofis presence for just over 4 years...it felt like a lifetime! Fostering/Adopting senior animals can be unbelievably fulfilling so please, dont over-look the old souls that need love and care in their senior years! They deserve it more than ever. Seniors can provide additional challenges which is why they need us more. Watch the video below of SAINTS (Senior Animal In Need Today Society). A wonderful organization for seniors animals... RIP - MOOFI AKA MUFASA - March 2010 - August 2014 (born 2003) You will be missed every minute of everyday! Please say hello and woof to all our friends at the bridge! Thank You for teaching all the new foster dogs how to be social and well behaved...
