We have been overwhelmed by all the nominations we have received for our Holiday Smile Contest. Wed like to thank everyone that nominated someone and for sharing your stories with us. Well announce the winner once the person that nominated the winner has had a chance to surprise him/her and present this very special gift. In the meantime, wed like to share just a few excerpts from the nominations that we received. My daughter inspires me every day. I think of the one thing she would want the most right now. The one thing that would make her complete and I know it would be for her to have the smile to go along with everything else she is. The cost of the treatment took every bit of the money we were saving for braces, and then some. As a single mother, I frequently struggle to provide for my children. I proudly say that we have never gone without the necessities, but my not be able to afford some of the luxuries that others may find important. My son has accomplished so much in the last few years and it saddens me to see that sometimes he holds back his smile because he is embarrassed of his teeth. All of my life my actions have been motivated by the love I have for my family. I live with my mother and younger sister and I am responsible for their well being and paying the bills at home due to my mothers health circumstances. Unfortunately part-time minimum wage jobs make it difficult for me to have any money left over to do anything. If I did have money, I would definitely get my sister the braces she has been wanting and needing for years. My daughter is beautiful inside and out. I would love for her to have the lifelong confidence a great smile can award her. I don’t want her to lose the innocence, caring or loving side of her to lack of confidence. A beautiful smile is a confidence builder and will see her through her life with health. Every little girl has times they feel like an ugly duckling. I want my granddaughter to have every opportunity to be a strong, confident young woman and have a smile that mirrors her beautiful heart.
