We have been to Helsinki! Hitch-hiking from Saint-Petersburg to Helsinki was easy: we met interesting drivers, for example Ivan, driver from western Ukraine, who invited us to truck drivers base, provided us dinner and was very hospitable. Also there was scenarist of detective series for russian TV Evgenij Kukarin, who took us directly to Helsinki. Evgeniya hosted us in Helsinki and also hosted five hitch-hiking girls from Poland. Very interesting exchange! We shared some stories and tips about travel. We took a picture on each station in Helsinki metro, it is beautiful hi-tech style: metal panels, concrete and neon; and also walls made of rocks! luboev.ru/metro/helsinki and then walked in citycentre. After that we hitch-hiked 1000 km from Helsinki to Moscow. It took us 24 hours and 12 rides.
