We have copied and pasted an update from Peter Banfields Facebook page by Peters friend, Mike Wilson: ---------------- They have removed the vent and replaced it with a trach tube. I checked on him, earlier Thursday afternoon, and he was still sedated from having the tracheotomy. His blood pressure and kidney function have improved, and he is stable. It may be several days before we know the full scope of his brain activity, since speech is impossible until the trach tube is removed. But so far, he has been responsive when the doctors call his name, and he will blink his eyes and move his legs when the doctors ask him to, so that is a very good sign. I am confident that the good news will keep coming slowly as his recovery will take time. The outpouring of love from everyone has been overwhelming, and all of the prayers for his recovery and restoration are being answered. There is still a long road ahead, and prayers are still needed, so please keep them coming. I would also ask that you please also pray for strength, comfort and peace to his family as well.
