We have decided to do waves to keep from getting “cramped” on the course. We have also attached a race map so you can get a clue of what the track will look like. Packets can be picked up starting at 8 am on the 15th. For those of you running the 10.8 miles your racers’ meeting will start at 8:45 and helo drops will start at 9:15. Those of you running the 5.4 miles your helo drop will start at 11:30 and we ask that you be here about 45 minutes ahead of time to get your racers packet and here the racers’ brief. If you want to show up at 8 am that is fine too. If we have already dropped off all the 10.8 milers we will go ahead and get you on the way provided you have checked in were briefed on the race. 2.7 racers, your helo drops will start at 2:30. Again, we ask that you be here at least 45 minutes ahead of time. You are also welcome to show up to the meeting at 8am to get briefed and signed in. After that you are welcome to leave and come back. Racers who want to stage food/snacks along the course may do so before they start their leg. Kids Course: We will start the brief for the kids at 1:30 and get them going shortly after they are briefed. If you know of anybody that plans on registering the day of the race please have him or her give us a ring at 361-595-5472 so that we can make arrangements. We will have live music around 2:00 pm! We would love everyone to stick around and enjoy. Beer and Food will be available for all racers once they are done. Spectators are welcome. There will be a $5 entry fee for attendance (this is a fund raiser). Food and beverages will be available for purchase as well. If any of you have questions please let us know. We are sure we have left some info out and we want to make sure you all get the info you need. We will possibly sending out more emails before the race starts as well as possible text messages for those who entered their cell numbers. We will have medical staff here on-site so if you have anything that we need to be concerned about please let us know at the registration table. Those how are concerned about being dropped in the pond or who can not swim need to let us know as well. We will have life jackets available or you can skip the pond all together. We will also have a professional photographer onsite and they will have pictures available for purchase after the race. Looking forward to having you all here and raising some money for a great cause!
