We have destroyed the American work ethic. The mindset of what the government can do for me is a cancer. We used to take pride in our accomplishments and our ability to succeed in life...but what has happened to us? No longer is it the American dream of owning your own home and possessing property. It is now government subsidies and any entitlement that would benefit the slothful. Dont get me wrong...there are those that really need help. But, we as Americans must be willing to help our fellowman. The church community must get back to their calling of helping the poor and homeless...ext...not the next building project with the best accommodations for a blind church body. Its our responsibility to help the helpless....not the government! Theres been no accountability with the entitlement society. Thus...a country going bankrupt. Im reminded of the story of Jesus concerning the lame man at the pool. His healing came after Christ said, rise, take up thy bed and walk. There was no more begging...no more receiving alms...but he was to walk and be responsible for himself. Its time to restore our work ethic in America. It is also time for us to realize that we are our brothers keeper!
