We have established a relationship with a laboratory in Pretoria, South Africa who will analyze the feed that the mill produces. We are trying to identify locally available inputs that we can use as part of the chicken feed formulation. However, there is no information available locally for a lot of these products such cocoa pods and palm kernel oil cake (residual after the palm fruit is pressed to obtain the oil). Once the mill starts producing feed we will send samples to the lab and have them analyzed for a variety of nutritional content. A big thanks to Nolan Henry of Union High school who has been working with us on this project as well as John Miller of Diamond V who has graciously provided direction and information.
