We have final reports, final grades, final tests, final jobs, - TopicsExpress

We have final reports, final grades, final tests, final jobs, final business dealings....but as far as scripture goes, I havent found the word final mentioned a whole lot. There are things like, Jobs final word, Nehemiahs final reforms, but generally the word used is finally. Can anyone relate to needing that word spoken? I have often said that limbo is one of the hardest spots to be in. How much longer? How will the judge make the decision? What will the outcome be? How long until the house sells? How long until the child gets out of prison or rehab or an abusive situation? How long until the pain of loss lessens? How long? We often yearn for that word to be spoken....and we can go on with life. Finally......Finally.....Finally..... Closure can be a wonderful thing. But many times, the yearning for closure or our finally ruins our today. So much pain and sorrow. I am not diminishing that....we all struggle.....because we are human. A scripture that comes to my mind and my heart and I must repeat often is this one....Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 Placing the finally in the hands of God, with thanksgiving places everything under the guardianship of Christ. And the good news....as believers.....our real final is only a transition to a place more beautiful than we could ever imagine. God bless you as we all seek His peace.
