We have gone from one extreme to another. We spent 2 nights in a township b&b.Needed to wear 3 layers at night it was so cold. Very interesting walk around the township learning more about black south African way of life. I find the discrepancy between black and white hard to get my head around, and the attitude of some of the white people we meet quite...well... um. I loved Geraldine who looked after us at the Township. We chatted about knitting - she is recycling plastic bags into purses and bags. She needs knitting needles as she is using kebab sticks. Then today we drove to Plettenberg and were given an upgrade on our accommodation. We are in a beautiful self catering apartment - the most luxurious place i have stayed in. Crazy world.
