We have had a bit of an unsettled week (or three!) lately. Aside - TopicsExpress

We have had a bit of an unsettled week (or three!) lately. Aside from knowing a few lovely kitty cats are still missing, we also had yet more sad news from a customer that their little lovely is no longer around, so it has seemed a bit of a dark grey time. Of course, all of our guests, without exception, have done their best to cheer us up; from the cutest, lovinglyest (hmmm……it’s sort of a word!!) to the totally loopy! We’ve had guests who insist on a very loooooooong cuddle each time we go into their run and we had one particular guest who was just so, so funny. We put a packet of Dreamies down on the shelf while we had a bit of a tidy up (very untidy threesome in there!) and before we knew it, he had picked up the packet in his mouth and darted out through the door scattering about 600 Dreamies all over his outside run!! It was then a race to see who could collect the most treats so his sisters could share them before he scoffed the lot!! Lots of guests left us today and we are trying to organise ourselves for this coming Thursday and Friday when every cat in the entire country is coming to stay! Well, yes okay, I’m exaggerating as usual but we’re full!! And busy!! Lol! That was a “lol” of hysteria that I’m sure I can hear floating across the countryside from Auntie Sarah!! The Mollys have had a strange week! Elderly white Molly appeared to develop narcolepsy (only due to old age I’ve been professionally told as we all worry when our lovelies behave oddly, well black Cocker Molly behaves oddly most of the time….!) as she slept soundly each night….until around 3.30 am at which point she loudly demanded a visit to the garden…the little sweetie….!! Then she would wake for breakfast before falling fast asleep until tea-time! She would then fall sound asleep again….until around 3.30 am….etc etc!!). Cocker Molly has developed a sort of amnesia combined with deafness! She seems to have forgotten her name when we’re out on a walk, together with serious deafness - unless food is concerned! She takes off at an amazing rate on our walks and despite my (unattractive!) bellowing of her name, she appears totally unaware that I am actually talking to (well, shouting at!!) her!! Bless!! Well, we’ve already had a few sweetie times but all of our guests are so beautiful they deserve extra fuss and cuddly time – and sweeties of course!! All our thoughts are genuinely with our customers who still haven’t found their furry friend or who have lost them in whatever circumstances. We feel so sad for them – and we can only begin to imagine how they feel too. That cheery note means I am off for lots of chats and fuss from our guests….now, shall I put something to eat in the oven now – or when I come back??!!! Whichever I do…..it will burn….lol!! Huge meowy hugs to you all xx
