We have had excellent coverage this week on Manx Radio and on the news websites manx.net and isleofman, but it’s not correct to say that the special event at the Point of Ayre on Saturday, October 18th is the last beach cleaning session of the year. The event on October 18th is the final assault on one stretch of coastline. We carry on every week elsewhere after this event and will do throughout the year, so the websites have been asked to change their headlines, which are a little misleading. If you can attend on October 18th at 10.30am, and join in with some new volunteers from a new sponsor - Blythe Financial - it would be much appreciated, and we will probably get together afterwards socially somewhere in the Ramsey area. Many thanks to Sue and Alan Blythe of Blythe Financial for their support and enthusiasm for what we are doing. They are regular walkers with their dogs at Ballaghennie and the Point of Ayre. Its the last section of beach along this coastline to be tackled, and the more volunteers we can get on the day the better the job.
