We have had our monthly ms support group meeting in Lyndhurst,NJ now for about a year and a half;but I must say that last nights meeting was the best one yet!My girlfriend Paula bought all the refreshments for our group,thank you baby.She is truly the wind beneath my wings.She is my rock......star!We did briefly have an open discussion on cognitive issues with ms but the conversation turned to something that needed our immediate attention.There was a young woman there who was in her early 20s and had been diagnosed with ms for 5 years.She came there with her very supportive boyfriend.I am not going to say their names because I want to be respectful of their privacy.Unfortunately she has no medical insurance and she just got let go from her job.She was very upset and not feeling good physically.Everyone in our group offered her compassion,support and information about resources that will be able to help her.I know that before they left we gave them one of the most important gifts that you can give someone and that is hope.We tried to assure them that things would get better and we would continue to help in any way we could.It was a great team effort on everybodys part.I thank everyone involved in our group last night.I Thank Our Lord for allowing us the privilege to serve Him as we serve each other.I have definitely found my calling.Amen. =)
