We have had such a rough week. Although this has been our first - TopicsExpress

We have had such a rough week. Although this has been our first week in over a month to be home all week and not out of town for doctors, it has not been an easy one. On Sunday Journeys filling in his tooth fell out he was hurting pretty bad and so Monday morning I take him in to the dentist. They already had appointments so that part kind of felt like good timing. Our dentist was out of town so we had to see this other dentist which was fine. Until I met him. He turned out to be completely rude and inconsiderate to both my children and myself, even arguing with me about the filling instead of him just reading his chart, he gave me a speech about my daughters disability which he knew nothing about, I sat though him trying to be little me, give me lectures, and tell me how he runs his office. I have never been so disrespected and backed into a corner by any doctor and I have dealt with my fair share. I gathered my kids and left feeling so hurt and just shocked that any business run that way is still operating. So the hunt for a new dentist began since the old one refused to do the filling so that left me with a smoothie drinking kid with a hole in his tooth. We finally got an appointment later that day to see another dentist who was so kind and professional. He filled it with no issues and treated my whole family with such kindness. That night while Journeys mouth was still numb he bit it, and he made it count. He woke up with a huge lip and he was feeling it. We finally found out what happened from the dentist, because I was thinking it was a reaction to the shot he gave him. Thankfully it was not a reaction. The next catastrophe came when Journey fell at school and hit his head, he was taken care of wonderfully by his awesome nurse and teacher. When I picked him up he had a huge knot on his head Honors therapist noticed his pupils were dilated and asked me to watch him closely. By night time he was stumbling and not walking straight, he wasnt eating and just wanted to sleep. He even slipped off his bottom twice in the bath tub. So I after talking to his school nurse decided it was er time. He ended up having a concussion but otherwise he was ok just not a lot of activity for a couple of weeks. Yesterday I was ironing his clothes, cooking, playing, talking, and just being a mommy when I remembered to go stir the food cooking in the kitchen I picked my iron up and placed it up high warning Journey to stay back. Of course it wasnt a few minutes later I hear this heart wrenching scream. Journey had been burned on his arm so I spent the rest of the night doctoring him up and making sure he was comfortable. So we are closing out this week with a bang and Im declaring in Jesus name this weekend will be better. Honor has been just a lil munchkin all week enjoying being home and working hard in all her therapies.
