We have heard the very sad news that Scowler (aka Tuna) our former office cat passed away recently, aged 14. Scowler gave many years of good service to EMEC Ecology, and after winning them over, also to the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust. Scowler spent most of his time prowling the Wildlife Trust building and garden, searching out an empty chair or letter in-tray, to provide him with a suitable place for a snooze. But would occasionally wake to pester the local blackbirds and to try and catch the office fish. Although we had not seen Scowler since his retirement a year or so ago (when he moved away from Sneinton with his owner), he will be sadly missed – the office is not the same without him. RIP Scowler.
