Root word zabal to dwell with and exalt , honour Together ..to dwell with in an exalted manner Jacob’s blessing over Zebulun Genesis 49:13 Zebulun shall dwell at the haven of the sea; and he shall be for an haven of ships; and his border shall be unto Zidon. Moses’ Blessing over Zebulun Deuteronomy 33:1 And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. Deuteronomy 33:18,19 And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out; and, Issachar, in thy tents. They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand. From these verses Zebulun represents the marketplace entrepreneur, the workplace minister. This is a good month to do business when combined with the characteristic qualities of this tribe. Characteristics : •Undivided heart and brave •Developers and suppliers of storehouses •Merciful •Sensitive to spiritual issues •Redemptive •Organised,self-disciplined,temperate •Knew who they were and who they were aligned with. We should be accurately aligned to those God has placed us with . We should be open to God to sow a good seed for His kingdom purposes that He indicates for this time. Always wise in laying up seed for future investment and for redemptive purposes. We walk out what we decree i.e. our talk lines up with our walk . Proverbs 10:9 He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known. As they were confident and worked alongside Issachar those who knew times and seasons of God they were able to be positioned to receive what had been spoken over them . Their full inheritance has yet to be fulfilled but they were ready to receive and occupy step by step. When Jesus returns and the New Heaven,New Earth and New Jerusalem are in place Zebulun will fully occupy their inheritance. We too can receive and occupy our borders this month. A very significant feast that begins this month is Pentecost or feast of weeks “Shavuot” . The receiving of the “Torah” when God released physical provision , revelation and power represented by the sending of the Holy Spirit baptising in fire all who were gathered together . A good time to receive and release those precious powerful gifts of the Holy Spirit.
