We have just had the most amazing few days... We left Elephant Hills camp site. To be taken to our new tented home which was a tent floating on a very, very, large lake... 165sq kilometres and 30/40 meters deep. From here we did some guided and some on our own canoe safaris. we seen gibbons and monkeys up high in the trees, kingfishers flying across the lake, a bird similar to the GB osprey... And stunning yellow and black horn bills....Another journey we trekked up through the rain Forrest through ancient trees and lots of cicadas which are very large insects that make the most amazing noise.. The rain Forrest has many beautiful sandstone, mud stone and limestone rocks shooting up as tall as 300-600m above sea level... We trekked to a very large cave.. In The cave we saw a snake who was waiting to catch one or more of the many 1000s of bats that lived In There along with some very, very big spiders, the hanging spider and the web man spider eeeeeek very large spiders....
