We have just left our parents house (10:00pm) in Cannon Crescent, Ifafi to our house in Ou Wapad road, Ifafi (its literally a 2 minute drive). Upon leaving the drive way, passed a neighbourhood watch car screening the street. As this car passed we noticed a car with no lights on in the distance, of course our first thought is this is a skelm...to our surprise it is a police bakkie also screening the streets. The police kindly stop before the house, switch on their lights and wait for us to leave the drive way and kept their lights on until our safe departure. As we reached the bottom of Cannon crescent we saw yet another neighbourhood watch car. 3 patrolling cars within that short distance home leads me to believe that something is happening :) Whether this be the result of Thursdays community meeting or not, it was so nice to know that my family and I would be arriving home safely tonight - Thank you.
