We have just spoken to the Incident Control Centre regarding the Emergency Warning that remains in place for the Moyston Fire. The fire authorities expect to know in the next hour whether they can get on top of it. The fire is currently impacting the north and east of Moyston. Strong northerlies are pushing the fire very fast, they’re working to suppress the Western and Southern flanks of the fire at the moment. 24 tankers, 6 strike teams, 6 bombers, 2 large air tankers and 1 crane are helping fight the fire. There are a lot of small hobby farms and some larger farms in the area. The High Fire Danger index and that is currently increasing.
