We have just two weeks to go now until the recording and I am having great fun unpeeling the Bach Gamba Sonatas and making decisions about musically what I hope to achieve. Its a very different experience than I am used to. Some of my recordings have either been insanely quick - like the Bach Suites we did in half the time than normal so I had to really be on my game and the Gordon Jacob CD I was given just about 6 weeks notice so had to learn a bunch of concertos simultaneously in a very short amount of time -and so much of it was written in octaves which made my life bonkers for a month!
