We have less than three weeks to the elections. Why was Moshood Abiola not allowed to become the president in the freest and fairest elections in Nigeria? Why was it difficult for Jonathan to become acting president when President Yar Adua took ill? Are we this forgetful? What kind of selective amnesia runs in our memory devices? How did we get to the point where only a one leg of a tripod determines who becomes the king? Has anyone born of a woman stop in the way of our northern brothers access to the throne? Why is there so much desperation in the polity? Is Nigeria vanishing from the world map after 2015? Is election the last step in nation building? Whats the role of the average Nigerian in deepening democracy? How long are we going to keep talking down on each other instead of speaking to each other. Why is political power so attractive so much that setting the nation ablaze becomes an option? Why is reason taking a flight in our clime? May we have the wisdom to vote wisely because we are all stakeholders in this commonwealth!
