We have little biblical reaction to sin. I was encouraged as a youth, when under guilt for my sin to just remember King David, who even after sinning with Bathsheba was forgiven, restored, and made a man after Gods own heart. While Im thankful for forgiveness and restoration, and know both full well, I wish they would have told me about the baby that died because of Davids sin that God never resurrected. We dont fear God or sin because we think even if we sin the outcome wont be that bad. After all, God will restore, forgive, and you can move on. While God may restore and forgive, if you play with sin, He may take your kid away from you and never give it back. Just ask David. Sin kills.....If only I understood this; oh to be given this gift of the fear of God.
