We have lost touch with our very souls. Is it worth it? It may - TopicsExpress

We have lost touch with our very souls. Is it worth it? It may be that this has been a necessary step to establishing ourselves and as much of other Eartthly life as possible offworld, among the stars, the only way that Earthly life can continue in existence when the Sun finally bloats up and toches the rocky planets of the Solar System, destroying the Earth itself. But I dont think so. We will need to take the foressts with us, at least as seeds and in computerized gene banks, and will need to do the same with Earthly animal, fungal, and even bacterial life if we are to be able to survive out there. We will also need to take them in spirit -- to re-establish them in our souls and hearts -- for otherwide our spirit, our will, our drive will not survive, and we will become extinct. What right do we have to destroy other species and render them extinct? And what need? Somehow we must learn what our Paleolithic ancestors and todays native peoples have learned: all the Earths life is precious, including us, including all the rest of it, and our very existence depends on our knowing that in our bones, our hearts, our souls.
