We have never shared this video until now. I would love for my friends praying for us and Baby Lennon to meet Zachary for the first time. This video is a bag of emotions. This is the only video footage we have of Zachary Matthew Myers who was born September 11, 2001 and died approximately 8 hours later. Due to the terrorist attacks that day he could not be life flighted to Childrens Mercy. He was taken by a very long a grueling ambulance ride. We spent less than 20 minutes with Zachary alive that day and this clip is about 45 seconds of it. Zachary was born with Renal Agenesis ( the absence of kidneys and bladder). With this condition the babys lungs do not properly form, therefore causing a very very life threatening prognosis at birth. I said all this to say this is the SAME diagnosis for Baby Lennon. We are hoping for better with Lennon but have very mixed emotions for that day soon to come. We know how big God is, but, its very important to communicate that there are no hoops to jump through with God. God is a good God who loves us. We are trusting him for his perfect will to be done, not with certitude. We are praying and continuing to pray daily for the miracle that you read about and rejoice over, with all the awareness that Lennons day of birth may be all we get to spend with him. I will say with all humility, we need prayers, support and love. The kind of love and understanding that sticks with us no matter the outcome. Unfortunately, we have walked this road before and still believe that God is gracious and good! Our faith is a humble trust in knowing god is a good God. Please continue your prayers and support for us, Lennon and all the other families with little babies who sit in the NICU needing intervention.
