We have numerous instances where the prices we offer to purchase gold, silver, and platinum jewelry are higher for the metal value than offered by other buyers who claim they are adding extra because of the semi-precious, precious, or small diamonds they contain. The latest example was two days ago. A customer sold us a quantity of jewelry, none of which had stones in them. The employee commented on that. The customer said that he had talked to another buyer who claimed he would offer more because he would offer on the jewelry value and not just metal value. So, even though he had them in a separate bag in his pocket while he was in our store, he didnt show them to Liberty. The Liberty employee offered to make an offer on each piece so the customer could make a comparison when he visited the jewelry buyer. The customer let him do that. A couple hours later, the customer came back and sold all of it to Liberty. The jewelry buyer offered about half of what Liberty paid him. We hear these stories over and over and over. This is some of the best advertising for Liberty over the years for which we dont pay anything.
