We have received some further information concerning this mission - TopicsExpress

We have received some further information concerning this mission we are on together. Hanh and I will be seconded to CABTAL, the Cameroon Association for Bible Translation and Literacy. Which means we will be working with, for and under the direction of Cameroonian Christians. We will live in the town of Bamenda. This is the fifth largest city/town in Cameroon. Bamenda has a population of about 800,000 but is still a town not a city. Hanh will be assigned to work with two language groups, Isu and Mankon. This work is in the community development stage at the moment. A translation team should come together soon. Being seconded to CABTAL will change my work a little. In an email Efi Tembon (director of CABTAL), wrote, “The ministry I felt you will be involved in here will be, partly, pastoral care for staff and Rural church leadership training. We have developed an outreach to rural church leaders, helping them with things ranging from discipleship, evangelism, planning, implementing a plan, Bible studies etc.” You can tell that God is planning something big for all of us. As we continue to fulfill the Great Commission in the streets and homes of Leesburg through you, you are fulfilling it in Cameroon through us. I hope that you are becoming as excited as we are about the work to which God is calling us. Thank you so much for your support and unity. If you can, check in on our webpage often, kingsincameroon. Even though we are not yet in Cameroon and have no exotic stories from the end of the earth to share with you, we do occasionally post updates about us and occasionally exotic stories about others. I hopefully will be posting some picture of Bamenda there this week. United in Christ, Calvin and Hanh
