We have received this Academy update on the status of the nutrition portion of the Farm Bill: Waiting Game for the Farm Bill We are in a holding pattern in the House for the nutrition title of the Farm Bill. The House leadership has appointed a small group of 20 Representatives to determine how the House will deal with the nutrition title, and this group has met a few times in the last couple of weeks. With only one week left before August recess it is looking like there will no action until after Congress returns from recess. Informal conversations may continue between the Senate and House Agriculture committee leaders, but until the House determines their way forward on the nutrition title the entire process cannot move forward.
