We have recently recruited via a SEEK campaign where we received in excess of 70 applications within the first 3 days. When managing high volume projects I cannot stress the importance of a strong resume. It is clear that many do not prioritise this and sadly this is why you may not be making the shortlist. Some of the identified problems were poor formatting, spelling errors, unexplained employment gaps, documents that are too lengthy and resumes detailing outdated or irrelevant information.
