We have seen the marketing landscape change beyond belief over the past ten years. Marketers and consumers are both chasing their tails but who is leading the change? In retail marketing we have seen the evolution from advertising a singular campaign with a simple message and call to action, now the industry is moving towards an omni-channel approach, mainly because customers do not separate their physical and virtual shopping experience. 5 years ago the term ‘engagement’ wasn’t even around but now social media is a standard industry practice, it’s easier for a consumer to tweet a brand rather than call or email them.
