We have set the date for the inaugural session of our Women on the Water program - Saturday, May 3rd, 2014. In order to ensure that all participants get a chance for one-on-one interaction with the instructors, we will be limiting enrollment for this first session. Any woman who has bought a new or used boat from 3A Marine Service, Inc. in the past year is entitled to participate in this half-day program. Our goal with this program is to present an opportunity to learn hands-on boating basics in a non-threatening environment. We seek to promote confidence, which makes for a good time on the water. We also promote safety on the water. Our plan is to divide the the class into three groups, and allow each group to rotate through each of the three separate sessions. There will be a land-side session covering navigation, safety, and everything else that be covered on land. The other two sessions will be on-the-water - well provide the boats ! One of the on-the-water sessions will cover docking and close quarters maneuvering, and the second session will go out cruising to learn about rules of the road, sea conditions, and navigation while under way.
