We have so many new followers that I figured we better do another intro about Kyle and Bella!! Kyle is 9yrs old and at 3yrs he was diagnosed with Autism, epilepsy, global developmental delays, adaptive delays and speech delay and then aprox 2 months ago he was diagnosed with a genetic disorder called congenital disorder of glyconitation type 1a (CDG-1a). We got Bella as a rescue when she was just a year old from smokin gun dog rescue and Kyle and Bella had an instant bond. One day after picking him up from school he bolted from home and after searching and not being able to find him, I had to call 911 and the search began. There were so many searchers and police and thankfully he was found safe but I knew I had to figure out something to stop the constant bolting and wandering. Its especially dangerous for Kyle because we live in a small town thats surrounded by lime stone quarries on 3 sides of us and are always filled with water plus we live behind a federal penitentiary with an active shooting range that is in clear view from our home and of course hes drawn to the sound of gunfire and the water!! Thats when I found MSAR - Service Dogs.. I called them and explained our situation with Kyle bolting and his bond with bella so the master trainer came to the house to asses the situation and decided to take bella for awhile to see if she had what it takes to be a service dog. He was very impressed with her so the training began (that can be a story for another day). It took a year of intense training and then bella had her final level 3 certification test and she passes with flying colours!! Here we are, 3.5yrs later and theyve been a fantastic team since the very beginning!! Weve had our struggles along the way with Kyles health, many hospital stays, many seizures and living with Autism, intellectual disabilities and his physical limitations but their bond is just as strong as it was in the very beginning.
