We have started off the lead and leave it training. I must say that we underestimate how clever huskies are. Max picked up leave it almost right away. Now when he sees a crow on the beach or seagull, he wont chase it, he comes to me to get a treat, even before I say leave it LOL It did go a little bit wrong , but oh well, it works. Though I did not film Max as he is cheeky like that.I have to have my eyes on him all the time. He is good on recall, but he is unpredictable. He will come 99 times out of 100 =) So he would be with the lose line only when he plays with another dog. Pando on the other hand was absolutely amazing. Just to check his recall, I called him in the middle of playing with another dog and he immediately came. BUT his drop it is not so well… Leave it is sort of fine,but drop it - still area to work with. He picked up some dead fish on the beach and after quite long argument he dropped it. But then he found some biscuits near kindergarden when we were back from our training-walk and he did not drop it, he ate it with great pleasure and that did upset me a lot, but also I know Pando can resist everything except sweets. This is my boy today. I dont dare to dream that one day I can take them all together and they would be as good as gold… But you know, everything is possible. =)
