We have taken fire out of the natural ecology to the extent that invasive species have taken over and the native habitat of our forefathers can scarcely be found. We need to get back to the regular burns to bring back and maintain the plant and animal species native to our lands. Prescribed burns are used to: Improve wildlife habitat; Help with forest regeneration; Restore and maintain native plant life; Control invasive plant species; and Reduce the risk of wildfires.
