We have three community medical cases we are working on. One is very urgent. Bubbles, the beautiful kitty in the photo, stopped eating and drinking. Her owner took her to the vet for xrays to find she had swallowed a piece of a baby bottle nipple and now has a blockage. She is very sick and needs urgent surgery which will cost up to $1200. Bubbles family is a one income family who is still trying to stay on their feet after being jobless for 11 months a while back. They live pay check to pay check and have already spent several hundred dollars trying to find out why Bubbles was ill. In the application, her mama states: We love our animals and always try to help them. Unfortunately money is a big issue and I dont know what else I can do to give our cat a chance to live. Please help! Bubbles also has a six year old girl who adores her and who would be heartbroken to lose her kitty especially right at Christmas time. ART wants to prevent euthanasia and keep this family together, but we need to collect funds to help. If you can donate, please do so at artanimals.org/donate. Duke Godinez, the little Chihuahua was hit by a car. He had a fractured jaw and terrible road rash. He was in so much pain when his mama took him to the emergency vet where she purchased pain meds and antibiotics. She was not able to afford the treatment for his jaw as they are barely making rent. ART was able to help poor little Duke and prevent his euthanasia. He is home recovering in the arms of his loving 8 year old girl. We do need to raise $279 to cover his costs. If you can donate, please do so at artanimals.org/donate. Rocco is another dog ART has helped recently. He was quite miserable and his owners were unable to afford care. We arranged for a hematoma procedure and he is recovering well. The cost to ART was $203. We need to raise a total of $1682 to help Bubbles and cover the cost of Duke Godinez and Rocco. If you can donate, please do so at artanimals.org/donate. If not, please share this post and ask your friends to donate. Thank you so much for your time and loving support! (Any extra donations will go to help another animal in need).
