We have three reported incidents for Johnsonville this week. 24 September 2013, theft ex car. A customer at a garden centre returned to their car with purchases but returned to the sales counter for about one minute. During that time the car was unlocked and out of sight of the owner, but long enough for someone to take a handbag from the seat. A wallet containing a driver’s licence, cards and cash was in the bag. A clear case when the “lock it or lose it” rule was needed. 26 September 2013, theft ex car. A vehicle parked in Kitchener Terrace was entered when the right rear quarterlight window was smashed. Tools and two large bottles of coke were stolen. 26 September 2013, wilful damage. Someone who no doubt was irritated by the local council election signs planted along the Burma Road took them down by driving a Toyota 4WD into them, destroying six signs and leaving parts of the vehicle among the wreckage. Vehicle stolen from another suburb. 27 September 2013. A white 1993 Toyota Hiace van Reg. UJ97. was stolen from Kahikatea Grove, Paparangi. Please report any sighting of this vehicle to Police.
