We have to grasp this fundamental point: Many who speak with the tongue of progress, reform, and relevance speak only from the vantage point of their own personal morality and ethics. The difference between a religious tradition that is rooted in scripture and articulated and understood by reason is vastly and substantively different than that which is not rooted at all and is simply a manifestation of individual opinions and egos.
