We have to view life as an opportunity, what are you doing with it? Are you afraid of it? History is turning into a white knuckle ride. Without the faith in some kind of transcendental phase transition, there is a tendency to despair and to panic. Religion has failed, most can only conceive a phase transition as apocalypse, that isnt what it is. We are closing distance with the first moments of true human civilization. When people do treat each other with respect, and there actually is a place made for the celebration of human differences, when we actually do feel the suffering of the people around us and respond to that. - Terence McKenna
